<p>PURPOSE:To enable accurate edit and recording, by correcting one demodulation time code according to the recording and reproducing head intervals, in two sets of recording and reproducing units in synchronizing lock after comparing the demodulation time code. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of recording and reproducing units to which the master and slave tapes 1, 2 are respectively loaded, are in synchronizing lock control with the address comparison by the time code demodulated with the time code recording and reproducing heads Hd1, Hd4. In the edition of recording of the tape 2 at the head Hd6 reproducing the recording on the tape 1 with the head Hd2, the address of time code demodulated at the head Hd4 is corrected for operation value's share based on equation I, then the start point of the edit and recording of the tape 2 is controlled so that blank recording and duplicated recording can not be made for accurate edit and recording.
