PURPOSE:To facilitate a chip treatment and enable continuous operation of trimming to be effected with high efficiency by disposing a chopper on the rotary blade delivery side of a slitting device for a negative electrode used in metal electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:Right and left respective chips 10 extruded from a side of a rotary blade 22 by a forcing roller conveyor 24 are guided by a guide tube 11, forced to fall in a chopper 17, shredded into a length corresponding to a half of an arc interval in which a cutting edge 19a of a rotary blade 19, and received in a reception box 21. With such constitution, there is produced no voluminous intertwinement of chips, and the time required to completely fill the reception box therewith is prolonged, thus allowing an effective chip treament to be excecuted in succession. |
