<p>PURPOSE:To enable a single cassette to handle numbers of forms in size by accomplishing the positioning of a form with a help of both a longitudinal guide which has numbers of detecting holes that are different in size, and a lateral guide which has one detecting hole so as to allow the condition of hole piling to determine the dimension of the form. CONSTITUTION:Positioning is accomplished to conform the dimension of each of forms by sliding both a longitudinal and a lateral guide 2 and 3 along guide grooves 1a and 1b. Accompanied with the above said movement, contact plates 2b and 3b which are attached to each of the guides 2 and 3, slide while they are piled up each other. In this case, a through hole H1 in a form of a fan is made on the contact plate 2b, and through holes H2-H4 which are different in size, are made on the contact plate 3b. When a cassette 1 under this condition is set in a copying machine 7, based on light reflected through holes which coincide with each other, a detector 13 determines the size of the corresponding hole and furthermore the dimension of the form. This configuration enables a simple device to be employed allowing a single cassette to handle numbers of forms in size.</p> |
