By the slinging device according to the invention, loads with very irregularly distributed weight can be lifted or lowered exactly in their centre of gravity in order to avoid a slanted position. It is intended above all for the demoulding of precast concrete members which have not yet set. The often very different and irregular moulds must always be lifted absolutely vertically in order to avoid damage to the unfinished concrete parts. The automatically vertical lifting or lowering of the loads is achieved by preferably two elements arranged at right angles to one another, e.g. pendulums, being attached to the slinging device, which elements, via operating members and adjusting mechanisms, adjust the fastening point of the crane at the slinging device on the one hand and, perpendicularly thereto, the fastening points of the load at the slinging device on the other hand only in the slanted position of the slinging device until the pendulums are no longer connected to the operating members, i.e. the slinging device is completely horizontal and the load can be lifted or lowered exactly vertically in its centre of gravity. <IMAGE>
