In the case of a piezoelectric sound pick-up (P) for string instruments, especially for guitars, having a metallic web arrangement (1) consisting especially of individual web bodies (1.1, 1.2 ...) which are mounted on the cover of the instrument body, extending along the lateral extent of the stringing, underneath the strings (s1, s2 ...), such that they are adjustable in the height and lateral length direction, and are provided with string supporting edges (2) and string guiding and bushing recesses (3, 4) corresponding to the number of strings. In the region of the supporting edges (2), the web bodies (1.1, 1.2 ...) are provided with prismatic retaining pockets (12) which are open to the strings (S; s1, s2 ...) and whose side walls (12a, 12b) run in the string pressure direction (13). Suitably shaped piezoelectric crystal bodies (14) are inserted with lateral play (15) into the retaining pockets (12), which crystal bodies (14) make electrically conductive contact with the base surface (12c) of the retaining pocket (12), by means of their underneath (14u) as a contact of first polarity. Electrical contact is made with the conductor (16) of opposite polarity by means of the metallised covering side (14o) of the crystal body (14), which is insulated from the first polarity. The remaining depth of the retaining pocket is filled with a pressure piece (17, 17'), which is matched to the pocket shape and rests in a pressure-transmitting manner with its underneath against the crystal body covering side (14o), with its side pieces on the side walls (12a, 12b) of the retaining pockets (12) ...
