<p>In a process for reprocessing water-containing organic residue compositions, in particular partly dewatered sewage sludges and shaped bodies formed therefrom, in order to obtain in as economical a manner as possible industrially utilisable products, simultaneously reducing environmental pollution and avoiding odour pollution, in a first treatment stage, the composition to be reprocessed is mixed with a finely divided dry product containing organic constituents, the mixture is agitated until a particle size of 3 mm or less is reached, in a second treatment stage the granular mass obtained is treated in a downstream drying zone with air having a temperature of at most 50 DEG C, preferably 30 to 35 DEG C, until a dry matter content of at least 75%, preferably 90 to 95% is achieved and the dried finely divided material is then, in a third treatment stage, subjected to a dry distillation under anaerobic conditions in an air-tight closed degassing zone at increasing temperatures up to 380 DEG C.</p> |
