The invention starts from a rotating cutter body of a trench profile cutter, verge cutter or the like, with cutting tools revolving about the axis of rotation of a rotary body, in particular cutting tools designed as blade strips projecting from the rotary body. According to the invention such a cutter body is distinguished by the fact that each blade strip is arranged to be obliquely orientated on the rotary body in such a way that, relative to the flight path described by the blade strip around the axis of rotation, the free end of the blade strip follows the blade-strip base fastened to the rotary body.
