A fermenter for solid products comprising devices for feeding solid products, for removing the products following fermentation and for injecting gaseous fluids or liquids, formed by an enclosure (1) with vertical axis having a lower wall (2) and a side wall (3) with a double skin (4) over at least a part of its height as well as a mixer of vertical axis, characterized in that the lower wall (2) is provided with devices for separately injecting air, steam and a cleaning fluid.
