PURPOSE:To confirm easily the remainder of oil by connecting metallic plates, which are provided in a tank a small gap apart from each other, and a resistor in series and applying a high frequency alternating voltage across both ends of this series circuit to convert variance of an electrostatic capacity due to the height of the oil level to variance of a DC voltage and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:A metallic plate 22 is attached to a movable tank 7a through insulating materials 24 and 25 a small gap apart from a metallic plate 23 attached directly to the movable tank 7a, and a capacitor 32 utilizing the electrostatic capacity of plates 22 and 23 is connected to an oscillating circuit of several kHz-several 100s kHz which is connected to a DC power source 26, and variance of the impedance between both ends of generated as a DC voltage between points 2c and (b). The potential at a point (c) is supplied to a display circuit 28 through a discriminating circuit 30, and the electrostatic capacity between plates 22 and 23 due to the difference of dielectric constant between kerosene and air is displayed on the circuit 28. |
