PURPOSE:To stop a siphon automatically by incorporating such a construction that the moving element of this device is substantially free from influence of the water stream from an exhaust hose, shutting the tip of an air pipe surely when the moving element is in its sunk position, and by opening certainly in the elevated position. CONSTITUTION:The top of a vertical shaft at the upper end of a moving element protrudes partially from the top of a supporting cylinder 11 when the moving element 8 is in its undermost position, and a large dia. cylinder 13 is connected to this protruded part. The foremost part of an air pipe 6 penetrates a bulkhead 10, and the tip of said pipe is connected with the large dia. part 14 with its tip closed, and further a plurality of valve holes 17 are formed at the boundary stepped part 16 to a minor dia. part 15 for connection of air pipe with large dia. part 14. When the liquid level rises to raise the moving element 8, the abovementioned cylinder 13 rises also to have a valve plate 18 when it is in the uppermost position so as to open the valve hole 17, so that the siphon action will be stopped. |
