PURPOSE:To improve the water sealing effect of an underwater structure such as gates, by a method wherein, after a bolt made of stainless steel containing specified percentage of carbon is stud-welded, a seal material is tightened against the bolt. CONSTITUTION:After a bolt 15 made of a stainless steel containing 0.04-0.01% carbon is stud-welded to a door body 13 of a gate, a seal material 14 is mounted thereto and is tightened through the medium of a press leaf 17 by means of a nut 18. This, since a punching process is not effected on the door body 13 surface, completely prevents leakage of water through the door body surface, resulting in improvement of the water sealing effect of an underwater structure. |
