Bi-stable electromagnetic valve which is self-locking in two positions, an open and a closed one respectively. According to the invention, a lock (7) controlled by a coil (18) slides on a bearing (6) forming a housing for balls (11, 12) which can drop into grooves provided in the rod (4) of the valve needle (3) in order to immobilise the latter in a given position.
