PURPOSE:To control the floating degree of a magnetic head to a desired level with a simple constitution by providing a DC potential applying means between a magnetic disk and a magnetic head to produce the static electricity. CONSTITUTION:It is supposed that a magnetic head 21 floats up by 0.4mum, for example, when a magnetic disk 11 is revolved by 3,600rpm. If the record/ reproduction of data is commanded under such conditions, a switch 34 is closed by the switch closing signal given from an actuator control part. Thus the DC component is applied between the disk 11 and the head 21 and the static electricity is produced. Both the disk 11 and the head 21 attract with each other with said static electricity. Thus it is possible to control the floating degree of the head 21 by controlling the level of the DC potential applied be tween the disk 11 and the head 21 and by using an inexpensive positive pressure type slider without requiring the change of a complicated design including the form, the pressing force, etc. of said slider. |
