PURPOSE:To prevent deformation due to press-fitting by providing a recessed part on the inside circumferential face of a press-fitting hole, which corresponds to a code wheel fitting part, of a code wheel attaching flange not to bring this inside circumferential face into contact with an encoder shaft. CONSTITUTION:In case that an encoder shaft 2 supported axially on a rotary encoder body (omitted in a figure) freely rotatably is press-fitted to a cylindrical code wheel attaching flange 4, the flange 4 is divided to an attaching part 8 of a code wheel 6 and a press-fitting part 9 where a press-fitting hole 3 is formed, and a recessed part 7 having a thickness (e) is provided on the inside circumferential face of the attaching part 8. A thickness (t) of the press-fitting part 9 is made smaller than a thickness t' of the attaching part 8, and the encoder shaft 2 is press-fitted to the hole 3. Thus, the shaft 2 is not brought into contact with the inside circumferential face of the attaching part 8 to prevent deformation of the wheel 6. |
