PURPOSE:To maintain high performance for a long period through improvement in deterioration of battery performance and internal resistance of battery by forming the collector of battery with carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION:A power generating element 30 is sealed within a battery case 16 formed like a flat coin. The case 16 is composed of a positive pole can 10, a negative pole terminal 12 and a sealing gasket 17, and the element 30 is composed of a positive pole 18 mainly consisting of manganese dioxide, a separator 20 immersed in the nonaqueous electrolyte and a negative pole 22 consisting of metal lithium. A negative pole collector 34 is provided between the negative pole 22 and terminal 12, while a positive pole collector 35 between the positive pole 18 and positive pole can 10. For the collectors 34, 35, the carbon fiber with line diameter of 20mu or less is used as the unwoven or woven sheet cloth. Thereby, deterioration of battery performance by storage and internal resistance of battery are improved and high performance can be maintained for a long period of time. |
