PURPOSE:To improve charging or discharging characteristic of a secondary battery by using a positive pole material such as a transition metal oxide and an organic solvent solution of Li salt for the negative pole material obtained by containing Li to the baked material of phenol resin. CONSTITUTION:A negative pole material for Li secondary battery is formed by containing predetermined amount of Li to the baked material which is obtained by heating the phenol resin at about 500-2,000 deg.C under the inactive gas ambient. A Li secondary battery is formed using this negative pole material, a positive pole material consisting of an oxide of transition metal or calcogenide and an organic solvent solution of Li salt. As the Li salt, lithium perchlorate is used and as an organic solvent, mixed solvent of propylene carbonate and cycloether is used. This negative pole material does not generte dendrite and has a high charging efficiency. Therefore, a secondary battery having a high energy density can be formed. |
