PURPOSE:To separate a developer from the outer circumferential surface of a developing sleeve securely with weak force regardless of whether a scraper is used or not by arranging magnets with the same polarity adjacently inside of the outer circumferential surface of a developing roller, and sticking magnetic bodies on their opposite surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The magnets 21 and 22 with the same polarity are arranged adjacently in a separation part K, and the magnetic bodies 23 and 24 are stuck on their opposite surfaces. When the developing sleeve 7 of the developing roller 9 rotates as shown by an arrow, the developer in a developer storage part 3 reaches the outer circumferential surface of the developing sleeve 7 through a developer supplying and conveying member 5 to form a magnetic brush on the outer circumferential surface. The height of the magnetic brush is specified with a specifying blade 10 to perform development in the development area of an image carrier 1. When the magnetic brush reaches the magnets 21 and 22, lines of magnetic forces flow into the magnetic bodies 23 and 24 and few lines of magnetic force operates on the space part, so the developer falls in the storage part 3 by own weight. |
