PURPOSE:To record in high density, by a method wherein the first layer consisting of a material having a high light absorbence is provided on a base, and the second layer in which a material having optical characteristics varied by heating is dispersed in a material having a low light absorbence is laminated thereon. CONSTITUTION:A first layer 2 showing a high light absorbence to recording light of a specified wavelength is provided on a light-transmitting base 1 consisting of a glass plate, an acrylic resin or the like, and the second layer 3 in which a material having optical characteristics (e.g., reflectance or transmittance) varied mainly by heating is dispersed in a material having a low light absorbance and stable to heat is provided thereon. A material for forming the first layer 2 may be Bi, Te, Pb, Ge or an alloy thereof or the like, and a material for forming the second layer 3 may be BiF3, PbF2, SnS, Sb2S3, GeS, TeO2, V2O5, Sb2O3, Bi2O3 or the like. |
