In order to apply a plurality of scalp clips in succession using an application device for C-shaped scalp clips without having to insert an individual scalp clip into the device after each application it is proposed that a magazine for the accommodation of a plurality of scalp clips be provided in which the scalp clips lie one behind the other, the free ends of a scalp clip resting against the web of the following scalp clip, that the magazine be open at that end towards which the free ends of the scalp clip legs point, that the scalp clips be guided in the magazine so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction thereof and are displaced by an elastic energy store in the direction of the open end of the magazine, and that the application tools project from above and from below into the advance path of the scalp clips at the open end of the magazine in a first position in which they are remote from each other, so that a scalp clip pushed past these comes to rest with laterally projecting edge regions, adjoining the bearing surfaces, against the application tools, whereas they rest against the bearing surfaces of the scalp clip, retained by them, in a second position in which they are close to each other, and as a result bend this clip up. |
