Security seal for gas meter casing - using oval disc with spring arms having retaining hooks at free ends

The security seal, for sealing a gas meter casing employs an oval seal (10) in the form of a disc, carrying spring arms (34) extending perpendicular to the plane of the seal (10). The arms having retaining hooks at their free ends, with a rupture point provided between the arms (34) and the seal (10). The arms are carried by a circular disc (30) at the centre of the seal (10) and secured to the latter by a neck (32) forming the rupture point. The front face of the seal (10) may carry two raised faces (20, 22) each having a printed symbol.
