PURPOSE:To perform satisfactory arc starting by supplying the current necessary and enough for transfer from a short circuit state to an arc state to a wire in the stage of arc starting. CONSTITUTION:The 1st setter 1 which sets stationary peak current IP1, the 2nd setter 5 which sets the peak current IP2 larger than the peak current IP1, a voltage detector 7 which detects an output voltage and a set value selector 6 which is inputted with the output signals from the 1st setter 1 and 2nd setter 5 as well as an electric power detector 7 and outputs either of the two output signals from the 1st and 2nd setters 1, 5 in accordance with the output signal from the detector 7 are provided. |
