PURPOSE:To prevent the slip flaw of a rolling material by detecting the speeds of the front and tail ends of the material with the aids of sensors for the purpose of controlling the speed of a motor used for driving a rolltable and conforming the table speeds at the front and back of a mill to the speed of material. CONSTITUTION:By inputting the signal of a receive circuit 7 to a tail-end detection circuit 8 every time the front and tail ends of a rolling material 2 pass sensors 9 placed between roll tables 3, the travelling time T of the front or tail end of material 2 between sensors is measured by the signals of the circuit 8 and a clock pulse generating circuit 10 in an operational circuit 9, and the speed of material 2 is operated in a detection circuit 14. The outputs of circuit 14 are set in circuits 15, 16 as the feeding or delivering speed references of material 2 and are used as the reference signals to motor control circuits 5 used for driving the rolls at the front and back of a mill to drive the tables 3. In this way, the slip flaw of a rolling material is prevented by conforming the speed of table 3 to the speed of rolling material. |
