The device is provided with an annular die (18) and a first cooling housing (32) which has rows of openings (43) in pairs, through which cooling medium jets are directed against the tube (16). An additional cooling housing (30) with a continuous annular opening (34) surrounds the extruded and precooled tube (16). Through this opening, an annular cooling medium stream is guided against the extruded tube (16). The production rate can thereby be increased by 10 - 50 % with good bubble stability. <IMAGE> |
