PURPOSE:To compact control information so as to save memory by storing common data in a memory device by a token type, by reading out the common data from the memory device when a source program is translated and by executing a program translation. CONSTITUTION:When a translation unit IU1 includes common data A which are referred by other translation units, a discrimination code V1 denoting common data is added at the time of making out a source program SP. The common data A are decided by a compiler and built in a translation unit U1 of a machine language program MP. On the other hand, attributes At of the common data A are dicided by a compiler, and a name of the common data and attribute information are registered in a data file FM. By this operation, the name of the common data and attribute information are converted into a token type in a data converting part CONV of a translator COM and registered in the data file FM. A collation table of the discrimination code V1 and the address, in which the common data A have been stored in the file FM of memory of the translator COM, is prepared.
