The uracil may be 5-or 6-methyl uracil. The composition may contain a silver halide developing agent or a 6-(optionally substituted alkyl)-aminopurine as defined in Specification 1419776). In the example the composition contains 6-benzylaminopurine and is used in a dye-developer diffusion transfer process. The combination of a uracil and bis-(#-aminoethyl) sulphide provides a much more difficultly reduceable complex than do conventional silver halide solvents and does not interfere with silver halide development.
