PURPOSE:To widely decrease the number of the sensor and to decrease the cost by composing a titled device so that many controls may be executed by the minimum sensor consisting of the first and second sensors. CONSTITUTION:Large, medium and small cassettes 1-3 are selectively inserted into a cassette holder 6. When the first sensor X is turned on, the cassette holder 6 is started for reciprocation from a cassette insertion position to a cassette fitting position by means of the positive rotation drive of a motor 15. The second sensor A is turned on since the cassette holder 6 is started for reciprocation. Thereafter, it is discriminated whether the second sensor A is turned off or not. When it is discriminated that the second sensor A does not become off yet, it is discriminated subsequently whether the sensor X is turned on or not. When it is discriminated that the sensor X is turned off, cassettes 1-3 remain to be placed at the cassette insertion position, immediately the motor 15 is reversely rotated and driven and the cassette holder 6 is returned to the cassette insertion position.
