PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and heat and light stability by incorporating a specified trisazo compd. CONSTITUTION:A carrier generating layer 2 formed on a conductive substrate 1 is composed essentially of a trisazo compd. represented by formula I in which R1, R2 are each H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy; Cp is formula II, III, IV or V; in formula II, Y is carbamoyl or sulfamoyl; Z is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic carbon or hetero ring; in formula III, R3 is H, alkyl, amino, carboxy, its ester, carbamoyl, or cyano; A is aryl; and in formula IV and V, R4, R5 are each alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl. A photosensitive layer 4 is formed by laminating a carrier transfer layer 3 composed essentially of a carrier transfer material on said carrier generating layer 2. As a result, the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body is stable against heat and light, superior in electrostatic charge retentivity, sensitivity, residual potential, etc., small in fatigue change, and sufficiently high in sensitivity to a long wavelength light region. |
