PURPOSE:To photodetect accelerated phosphorescence completely and improve the S/N ratio, reduce the size of an exciting light source, and speed up scanning operation by providing a dichroic optical surface in the middle of the optical path of a photoconductive material. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive material 18A is made in a slowly curved plate shape by using a transparent material such as a glass and an acryl plate, and its one end surface (incidence end surface) 32A is extended at right angles to the feed direction of a feed table 30 and faces the surface of a fluorescent material sheet 14A closely nearly in parallel. The optical surface 34A which is dichroic lengthwise is provided to the end part at the side of the end surface 32A at 45 deg. to the end surface 32A. The end part at the side of the end surface 32A of the photosensitive material 18A of the optical surface 32A is divided into sectional triangles, films of, for example, a high and a low refractive index material are layered on the divides surfaces, and then those divided surfaces are joined together.
