摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent liquid crystal display device which consists of two substrates held at uniform intervals by sealing the two substrates while using spherical bodies as spacers, and injecting liquid crystal between the substrates. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral part of a substrate 11 is coated with a sealing member 12 rectangularly except at a liquid crystal injection part 13, and an upper substrate 14 on which a desired electrode pattern is adhered is stacked thereupon. In this case, spherical bodies are inserted dispersedly so as to hold both substrates 11 and 14 at the specific intervals. Then, the sealing member 12 is set by being heated and pressed in this state to form a seal part. The partially fabricated item of the liquid crystal display device which is manufactured as mentioned above is pressed with spacers 16 and 17 interposed. Consequently, the intervals between the two substrates 11 and 14 of the partially fabricated item are determined by the spherical bodies as the spacers and become uniform at both the center part and peripheral edge part. Then, liquid crystal is injected through the liquid crystal injection part of the partially fabricated item, and the device is released from being pressed after the injection part is sealed to complete the liquid crystal display device.
