PURPOSE:To prevent generation of damages of a solid-state electrolyte caused by a thermal expansion difference, and to improve reliability of an electrochemical device by assembling as one body an electrochemical pump cell and a detecting cell through a prescribed heater and a cavity. CONSTITUTION:An electrochemical oxygen pump cell 2 formed by a solid-state electrolyte 12, an inside pump electrode 18, etc., and an electrochemical oxygen density detecting cell 4 of the same constitution are assembled in one body through a spacer 10 on which a prescribed heater layer 6 and a prescribed cavity 8 are provided, etc. Also, three directions of the spacer 10 are surrounded by a heater 32 of the layer 6, also the electrode 18 and an inside electrode 26 of the cell 4 are exposed so as to be opposed to the spacer 10, the solid-state electrolytes 12, 22 of the cells 2, 4 are heated uniformly, generation of damages such as crack, etc. caused by a thermal expansion is prevented, and reliability of an electrochemical device is improved. |
