PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the crack phenomenon of a grip part, by a method wherein, in a grip being formed such that the outer periphery of a rim formed by a circular metallic rod is covered with resin, a part of the rim is cut in two parts, so that the grip is capable of being deformed along with shrinkage deformation of covering resin. CONSTITUTION:A grip 1 is formed with a circular rim 2 made of iron and a hard resin part 3, such as polypropylene, with which the trim is covered. A part of the rim 2 is cut in two parts to form two end parts 4 and 5, and the two end parts 4 and 5 are interposed into a cylindrical joint 6 made of iron. The one end of the rim 2 is welded at 7 to a joint 6 to form a stationary end, and the other end 5 forms a movable free end. When thermal shrinkage occurs to a resin part 3, a force exerted in a direction in which radius is reduced is applied on the grip 1, and the free end 5 of the rim 2 is moved within the joint 6. This causes the grip to be deformed along with deformation of the resin part in a manner that the radius of the grip 1 coincides with the decreased radius occasioned by thermal shrinkage of the resin part 3. This permits prevention of the occurrence of crack of the grip 1. |
