PURPOSE:To obtain continuously a hot dipped material having the plating surface which is clean and is free from thickness deviation and ruggedness allowing a molten metal or alloy to overflow in the outlet part of a plating bath and scraping off the same with a wiper. CONSTITUTION:An overflow tank 9 enclosing a plating material 1 is provided in the outlet part of a long-sized plating material 1 which is puleed up from a plating bath 2. A rotating vane 10 is rotated to feed a molten metal or alloy 11 to the tank 9 so as to overflow therefrom. A wiper 13 is moved to scrape off the overflow surface around the plating material 1 and to scrape off the oxide, scum, etc. sticking around the body to be plated on the molten metal surface. The scraped oxide, etc. are discharged. The bath surface is thus maintained always clean and the intrusion and sticking of the oxide and dross to the plating surface are obviated, by which the smooth plating surface free from defects as nodule, etc. is obtd. |
