<p>PURPOSE:To specify the position of a mover by opening and closing the liquid-crystal shutter in the mover and controlling incidence on photodetecting elements on a board surface. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate board 10 consists of a substrate 14, light emitting elements 11 (1a, 11b...), photodetecting elements 12 (12a, 12b...), and a protection plate 13, and the mover 20 consists of a reflecting mirror 22 which faces the board surface, the liquid-crystal shutter 23, its driving part 24, and an indication switch 21 for opening and closing the shutter. A control part 30 turns on one optional light emitting element 11 by a switch 32 with a current supplied from a power source 31 and which photodetecting element 12 photodetects light is detected 34 by a switch 33. The switch 21 is closed to drive the liquid-crystal shutter driving part 24 and when the liquid- crystal shutter 23 is open, light from the light emitting element 11 is passed through the shutter 23 and reflected by the reflecting mirror 22 in the moving element 20, and then detected 34 through a specific photodetecting element nearby the light emitting element 11, so that the position of the mover 20 on the board surface is easily specified according to the position relation between the light emitting and photodetecting elements. consequently, the position of the mover is detected even after it is floated over the board surface temporarily and no connection cable is required between the mover and control part mutually.</p> |
