PURPOSE:To obtain a magnet material having superior magnetic characteristics as well as magnetic anisotropy in the radial direction by aging a substrate of a magnetic alloy while rotating the substrate on its central axis in a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A discoid or tubular substrate 1 of a magnetic alloy to which magnetic anisotropy can be provided is subjected to soln. heat treatment. The substrate 1 is then placed between magnetic poles 2a, 2b, rotated on its central axis, and aged in a magnetic field generated between the magnetic poles 2a, 2b. It is desirable that the relation between the thickness T of the magnetic poles 2a,. 2b generating the magnetic field applied to the substrate 1 and the diameter D of the substrate 1 is set so as to satisfy the formula. |
