<p>PURPOSE:To obtain uniform dot printings in the aligning direction of heating elements in any case by supplying power to heating elements belonging to blocks from the end of the aligning direction of heating elements of blocks on the common electrode side. CONSTITUTION:An electrode has the same width as that of a heating element block and also has an opening 25 near the heating element. The current path from a common electrode 22 to the heating element is made up of portions shown by both ends 24-1 and 24-2 of the opening 25 and also by portion of 26. When many heating elements in the block are driven concurrently, voltage to be applied to each heating element becomes higher on both ends of the block and becomes lower in the block. Also, in case where the number of heating elements to be driven concurrently in the block is small and spare, the lowering tendency of intermediate part of voltage is weakened, and when two dots on both ends of the block and one dot at the center are recorded, voltage to be applied to the central heating element is almost equalized, and recording dots become equal.</p> |
