PURPOSE:To improve the utilization of a ring transmission line by providing the 2nd token in addition to the 1st token in a token ring transmission system. CONSTITUTION:Data terminal devices DTE1aa-1ff are connected in series with a ring transmission line 2, and the DTE acquiring the token at first, e.g., the device 1aa transmits a control signal from the 1st token control section 14 to a transmission data processing section 10a and a transmission buffer 17, which transmits the transmission data with an address of an opposite DTE, e.g., of the device 1cc to a transmission line 2 via a transmission section 11. When the device 1cc identifies it with an address of the own device, the data received by a reception section 12 is processed by a reception data processing section via a control section 13. Since the right to set the 2nd token is given to the device 1cc, the data stored in a reception buffer 16 by the control signal from the 2nd token control section 15 is fed to the device 1ee via the buffer 17 and the transmission section 11. |
