PURPOSE:To make tabulation legible easily by providing a selecting means to select types with or without operators as needed. CONSTITUTION:A detector 41 is made up of a centralized processor 41 as a controller having an arithmetic function. Data input by a numeric key 13 and an operator key 54 on a keyboard 10, or operator data among 123X456=56,088, for example, are detected. When the first mode to send out all of input data containing operator data and the results of calculation are selected by the third mode selection switch 56 printing, as shown by Fig.(a), is made by the printing mechanism 47. Also, when the second mode not to send out operator data detected by the detector 41 is selected, a tabulation, as shown by Fig.(c), is made. A clearly legible tabulation can thus be made, but not tabulation as shown by the Fig.(b).
