PURPOSE:To realize a long-term use of the battery power source with announcement of the battery life by stopping the operation of the load immediately after the stop of oscillations by the load operation and then restarting the oscillations to keep the circuit normal. CONSTITUTION:When switch 7 is operated in case the battery power source has ample power, oscillator 1 has normal oscillations. Oscillation stop detection circuit 8 receives rectangular wave signal (a) from the division circuit and produces the signals of low potential VSS to turn on 16 transistor 10. With operation of the switch at the consumption time of the battery, the oscillations are stopped by the voltage drop caused by glowing 6 of transistor 10. Differential circuit 8a has no pulse input and delivers constant voltage VDD, and FET13 of detection circuit 8c is turned off to set FF9 and then deliver VDD. As a result, transistor 10 is turned off immediately. With turn-off of transistor 10, the driving voltage returns to the original state to restart oscillation 1. Thus, the battery can be used for a long period of time with announcement of replacement at a proper time. |
