PURPOSE:To prepare a foam molded piece in which molding and adhesion of skin are completed by one time of foam molding process by a method wherein a skin sheet is adhered integrally to beads foam at the same time with beads foaming and terminal folding process also is conducted at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A skin sheet 3 is installed along the mold surface of a female mold 2. Then, the inner part of the cavity formed between two molds 1, 2 is filled with expandable beads 5 and the molds are closed. Steam is passed to these molds 1, 2 for prefoaming. After elapse of specified time, these molds 1, 2 are separated so that a sufficient clearance can be given between the parting surfaces of both molds 1, 2. Under this state, the folding margin 3a of the skin 3 is folded with the foam beads 5, then these molds 1, 2 are closed again, steam is passed, full expansion is made and beads are connected completely. Then, the molds 1, 2 are opened to obtain a molded piece with skin sheet 3 integrated with the surface. |
