发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING PAPER AND THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING APPARATUS USING THE SAME
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a picture dot with high resolving power in sharp and sufficient image density, by containing solid wax having good compatibility with an ink component in the ink receiving layer of recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 34 consisting of pigment 32 and a binder 33 is provided to the surface of base paper 31. As the pigment 32, acicular inorg. pigment such as acicular light calcium carbonate or powdery urea-formaldehyde resin or polystyrene resin is used. The binder 33 is prepared by mixing and dispersing solid wax such as carnauba wax or haze wax in a rubber system such as styrene/butadiene rubber and a water-insoluble high-molecular adhesive such as a petroleum resin. The ratio of the solid wax to the adhesive is 5-50% and the ratio of the pigment 32 and the binder is 10-50 of the binder to 100 of the pigment on a solid basis. This recording paper shows high transfer probability even at high speed recording and is also excellent in a picture dot shape and storage stability.
