PURPOSE:The titled feed, obtained by incorporating taurine in a feed for fishes and shellfishes, and capable of enhancing remarkably the resistance of the fishes and shellfishes to red tide planktons, e.g. hornellia, having strong toxicity, and suppressing the damage of cultured fishes. CONSTITUTION:A feed for enhancing resistance to red tide obtained by incorporating preferably 25-200g, based on one ton feed, taurine to a feed for fishes and shellfishes. The addition of vitamin E to the above-mentioned feed is preferably enhances further the action of the taurine on the enhancement of resistance to the red tide. |
