PURPOSE:To obtain a long-life thermal recording head free of sticking by controlling voltage to be applied to heating elements by elements whose electric resistance values are altered accoding to temperatures. CONSTITUTION:While a pulse voltage is applied, the pulse voltage V to be applied between an earth electrode 9 and a signal electrode 10 is constant, and a voltage VR to be applied to both ends of the resistor R of a heating element 2 and a voltage Vr to be applied to both ends of a resistor (r) are in a relative relation in which when one is higher the other is lower. When the resistance value of the resistor (r) is raised by the rise of temperature, the voltage Vr is raised, and the voltage VR is lowered. The maximum temperature of the heating element 2 can thus be controlled lowly and the detrioration and sticking of the heating element and the rise to high temperatures of the heating element can be prevented. Small-size, long-life thermal recording heads having lesser trouble can be obtained accordingly. |
