PURPOSE:To obtain an improved permselective membrane, by a method wherein a film provided on a porous base consists of a subst. acetylene polymer, in the production of a gas-separating film material by a plasma polymerization technique. CONSTITUTION:The permeable membrane is a composite film comprising the porous base and a subst. acetylene polymer film provided on the surface of the base by plasma polymerization under glow discharge. The subst. acetylene is trimethysilylpropyne, tert-butylacetylene or the like which preferably has a tertiary carbon atom or a tertiary silicon atom. The composite film as a separating film has an oxygen permeability coefficient superior to those of conventional films, and has a favorable separating property. In addition, as a pervaporation film, the composite film selectively separates organic matter, can be reduced in thickness, has a high permeation rate and a practical strength. |
