摘要 PURPOSE:To ensure good combustibility of an engine, by controlling the proportion of fuel, fed from the first and the second injection valves in a high region of intake air quantity, to be increased from the second injection valve as the intake air quantity increases. CONSTITUTION:The first intake passage 7a arranges the first injection valves 12 injecting fuel in the full range of operation including a low region of intake air quantity. The second intake passage 7b arranges the second injection valves 13 injecting fuel in a high region of intake air quantity. A quantity of fuel is injected in a region I by the first injection valve 12 while in a region II by the second injection valve 13. If the whole injection quantity Qf of fuel reaches the second preset value tauw by increasing the intake air quantity, the proportion of fuel fed by the second injection valve 13 is increased larger than that by the first injection valve 12. In this way, good ignitionability and combustibility can be ensured by enabling air-fuel ratio of a mixture, supplied to a combustion chamber from each intake passage, to be almost equalized.
