The punch and die form a bearing bush without cutting, esp. for use in a roller bearing. An annular groove is provided at the join between bush bore and base, slightly increasing the bore dia. The punch (2) has a radial bead (3) at its end towards the base, and the bush (1) is only pulled off the punch when the drawing ring (4) belonging to the latter is no longer enclosing it. The bush can be initially stamped from a plate and drawn before final drawing with the punch, after which trimming, chamfering, perforation of base etc., are carried out.
