PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a relatively low-speed A/D converter by allowing a transfer clock pulse generating circuit to generate a pulse, where a duration ratio of state ''1'' to state ''0'' is smaller than one, as one of two-phase tansfer clock pulses. CONSTITUTION:A transfer clock pulse generating circuit 10 generates the transfer clock pulse, where a duration ratio of state ''1'' to state ''0'' is smaller than one, as one of two-phase transfer clock pulses phi1 and phi2 at least. Each time this transfer clock pulse falls, stored electric charge is transferred from a transfer part of a self-scanning image sensor to a picture signal output circuit. Meanwhile, the picture signal of the picture signal output circuit is subjected to A/D conversion in an A/D converter during the time from fall of the same transfer clock pulse to the next rise of it. Thus, the time spent on A/D conversion is extended, and a relatively low-speed A/D converter can be used. |
