PURPOSE:To detect the quantity of overrun accurately, by providing a pulse oscillator, a reversible counter, and an overrun counter; and counting the pulses, which have been oscillated in correspondence with the movement of a body and have exceeded a reference value. CONSTITUTION:A detecting device is constituted of the following devices: a rack 2, which detects the amount of movement of a body 1; a pinion 3; a coupling 4, which transmits the rotation of the pinion 3; a pulse oscillator 5, which oscillates pulses in correspondence with up (a) and down (b) of the body 1; a reversible counter 6, which counts the pulses and generates signals; an overrun counter 7; and a divider 8. When the body 1 is moved in the up and down directions, the pulse oscillator 5 oscillates pulses 5a and 5b. When the pulses reach a reference value during the count up or count down of the reversible counter 6, signals 6a and 6b are generated. The overrun counter 7 counts the overrun quantities of the pulses of the 5a and 5b based on the signals 6a and 6b. Computation is accurately performed by the divider 8. |
