This device making it possible to lock and unlock access doors and trapdoors consists of an omega-shaped housing cage 1, in which are assembled a latch 2, which lays the door against its frame during locking, a push release 3, a return spring 4, two sleeve spacers 6 and two rivet axles 5. When the user exerts pressure on the visible end of the latch, the latter is articulated about its axle and seats the catch between that of the push release; the door is thus laid in the closed position. Pressure on the visible part of the push release 3 frees the catch and releases the latch 2 which tilts as a result of the action of the spring 4. The device according to the invention is intended especially for locking the trapdoors and access doors of aircraft and space vehicles. <IMAGE>
