PURPOSE:To lubricate the sliding section sufficiently without feeding large amount of lubricant into the compression chamber by providing a groove blocked from a vane side space and a compression chamber to be defined by a rotor and cylinder in the sideboard. CONSTITUTION:A groove 19 to be communicated/blocked against a vane back space 18 through rotation of rotor 4 and not communicated with a compression chamber 8 is made in the rear sideboard 3. Upon rotation of rotor 4, the groove 19 is communicated/blocked against a groove 17 through the vane back space 18 to store lubricant in the groove 19 when communicated. While when the groove 19 is blocked from the vane back space 18, lubricant in the groove 19 is fed to lubricate the sideface of rotor 4. Consequently, the sliding section between the sideface of rotor 4 and the sideboard 3 can be lubricated sufficiently without feeding large amount of lubricant into the compression chamber 8.
