PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of assembly by providing a taper part on the surface opposite to the head insertion side of tape guide pins of a tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:A lower half 20 consists of a shield plate insertion groove 21, bottom surface 22, leaf spring mount parts 23a and 23b, tape guide pins 25 and 26 with taper parts 24a and 24b, and leaf spring support pins 27 and 28. The tape guide pins 25 and 26 provided the leaf spring support pins 27 and 28 successively at both sides of the head insertion part integrally with the lower half 20 have the tape parts 24a and 24b which increase in diameter toward the bottom surface 22 on the surface opposite to the head insertion side.
